WHO WE ARE
Dignity, Equity, and Respect
We are the Loyola FireHawks, a student-led robotics team at St. Ignatius of Loyola Secondary School in Oakville, Ontario. Since 2023, we have proudly participated in the FIRST Robotics Competition! FIRST provides ambitious students with the opportunity to design and develop robots for multi-course competitions.
As part of a STEAM school, TEAM 9098 is dedicated to igniting the passion for science, technology, and engineering in students. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students are able to develop the essential skills for future successes. We pride ourselves on being a diverse group of dreamers and doers, tinkerers and thinkers, coders and creators. Here, every student finds their niche and contributes their unique skills to our collective genius.

About FIRST
FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a robotics community that prepares young people for the future through a suite of inclusive, team-based robotics programs for ages 4-18 (PreK-12) that can be facilitated in school or in structured afterschool programs. Boosted by a global support system of volunteers, educators, and sponsors that include over 200 of the Fortune 500 companies, teams operate under a signature set of FIRST Core Values to conduct research, fundraise, design, build, and showcase their achievements during annual challenges.
